The event was attended by 39 registrants. A table display of various collaborative materials was available for registrants to collect. We received considerable positive feedback in relation to the power point presentation.
Registrants were extremely animated during question time and were very interested to learn that there is an alternative to the adversarial approach to resolving family disputes.
This has highlighted for us that our strong commitment to Collaborative Practice is warranted and accords with the desires of the public.
At Swan Family Lawyers we have been well aware for many years that the adversarial system is damaging to families as well as expensive and uncertain. We remain committed to helping families find a respectful way of ending their relationships with the least amount of damage to their children and enhance their capacity to co-parent into the future.
We are so pleased with the outcome of the first seminar that we intend to repeat it and will be holding free public information seminars in relation to Collaborative Practice on a regular basis both in Adelaide and country South Australia for as long as there is public interest in Collaborative Practice.
