Laura recognises that for most people the breakdown of a relationship is one of the most stressful and challenging experiences that they will ever go through. Where possible, Laura prefers to take a pragmatic approach to assist her clients to negotiate a resolution outside of the Court system through negotiation and/or mediation. Where a negotiated resolution is not possible, Laura is able to rely on her significant advocacy experience to pursue a resolution for her clients within the judicial setting.

Laura’s background in criminal law enables her to address with ease the complexities that arise where there is a crossover with the criminal justice system such as the issuance of an Intervention Order or family violence related offences.

Laura’s passion for family law extends to advocating on issues relevant to the family law profession and she is a current member of the Law Society of South Australia's Family Law Committee. In her spare time, Laura enjoys bodybuilding, cake decorating, and spending time with her husband and children.
